Abstract:
This study aimed to investigate the direct effect of the dimensions of Logestics Capabilities named Demand Management Capability, Supply Management Capability, Information Management Capability on Supply Chain Performance of public enterprise sector companies for pharmaceutical industries in Egypt. The study relied on a survey list to collect the data necessary to conduct the study, and the sample size was 314 individuals. Path analysis was employed to test the hypotheses using WarpPLS7.
The research results showed that there were positive significant effects of Information Management Capability on Demand Management Capability. And also showed that there were positive significant effects of Information Management Capability on Supply Management Capability. Moreover, there were positive significant effects of Supply Management Capability on Demand Management Capability. The findings confirmed the existence of a positive significant impact of the dimensions of logistics capabilities (demand management capability, supply management capability and information management capability) on the performance of the supply chain. In light of the results of the study, a set of recommendations were proposed that could contribute to improving the supply chain performance of companies operating in the pharmaceutical sector Among them: the need to establish successful relationships with customers and suppliers, and to be keen on owning a supply chain that guarantees the continuity of the flow of medicines to patients at the optimal price and with the minimum of error
