"تأثير التغيرات المناخية العالمية على أسعار الغذاء فى مصر" The impact of global climate change on food prices in Egypt

          تهدف الدراسة إلى قياس أثر التغيرات المناخية العالمية على أسعار الغذاء فى مصر فى الأجل الطويل خلال الفترة (2000-2024) ، باستخدام  منهج التكامل المشترك لاختبار العلاقة بين المتغيرات فى الأجل الطويل ، وباستخدام متوسط انحراف درجات الحرارة و هطول الأمطار كمتغيرات مناخية ، بالاضافة إلى متغيرات ( أسعار الغذاء العالمية ، أسعار النفط العالمى ، متوسط نصيب الفرد من الناتج ، حجم الانتاج الغذائى المحلى ) ،  واستخدام الرقم القياسى لأسعار المستهلكين للغذاء فى مصر كمؤشر لأسعار الغذاء خلال فترة الدراسة .
          وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود علاقة طردية ومعنوية بين مؤشر أسعار الغذاء فى مصر وكلا من ( التغيرات المناخية ، وأسعار الغذاء العالمية ، وأسعار النفط )، بينما توجد علاقة طردية وغير معنوية بين أسعار الغذاء ومتوسط نصيب الفرد من الناتج المحلى الاجمالى، وعلاقة سلبية ومعنوية بين أسعار الغذاء وحجم الانتاج الغذائى المحلى . وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة دعم الإنتاج المحلى و العمل على تطوير نظام تكيف شامل للحد من الآثار السلبية لتغير المناخ على أسعار الغذاء.
Abstract:
The study aims to measure the impact of global climate change on food prices in Egypt over the long term (2000-2024). The study uses a cointegration approach to test the relationship between long-term variables. It uses average temperature anomaly and global precipitation as climate variables, in addition to global food prices, global oil prices, average per capita GDP, and domestic food production. The Egyptian food consumer price index (CPI) is used as an indicator of food prices during the study period.
The study found a positive and significant relationship between the food prices index in Egypt and each of climate change, global food prices, and oil prices. There is a positive and insignificant relationship between food prices and average per capita GDP, and a negative and significant relationship between food prices and domestic food production. The study recommended supporting local production and developing a comprehensive adaptation system to mitigate the negative effects of climate change on food prices .
